Established in 1965 in Croswell, Michigan, Conveyor Components Company is world-renowned among bulk material handling customers and processing industries for quality engineered products at economical prices. Its rugged, durable equipment for monitoring and cleaning conveyor systems includes conveyor controls, motion controls, level controls, bin aerators, and conveyor belt cleaners.
Safety Controls include safety stop switches, pull cords, belt alignment controls, damaged belt detectors, bucket elevator alignment controls, and bulk material flow controls. Safety-minded operators of not only conveyors, but also production lines, elevator equipment, assembly lines, material handling systems, cranes, etc. rightly consider such devices to be a must for employee protection. In many cases, they are also required by law. Choose the options that best suit your needs and requirements from the range of industrial-grade safety products Conveyor Components Company offers.
Belt detection devices are relatively inexpensive protection that saves time, money, and labor associated with replacing or repairing a damaged conveyor belt. Some are designed to indicate when a conveyor belt has drifted so far right or left that it’s in a dangerous condition. Others can detect punctures, tears, or protrusions through the conveyor belting. Some belt alignment controls are specifically designed for use with bucket elevators. Other models are versatile enough to be used in a variety of applications, including providing proof that material is actually flowing from a chute onto a conveyor belt.
Motion controls serve to prevent compound damage from inoperative or failed equipment. They are designed to shut down rotating equipment when necessary and/or alert operators to problems before damage results. Using motion controls to monitor speed, you can greatly reduce system and equipment downtime by addressing problems like broken drive gears or belts, overworked motors, belt overload, and other issues faster. Motion controls from Conveyor Components Company include a line of contact and non-contact zero speed controls and speed monitors. Weatherproof and explosion-proof units are available.
Conveyor Components Company level controls include rugged tilt level probes and paddle wheel switches that can detect and indicate the presence or absence of dry bulk material within a bin or hopper. They are especially useful when it’s not possible, desirable, or permissible to open a vessel or allow intrusion. Some models are designed for use when other controls won’t work due to bin vibration, or actual bin walls aren’t available for mounting them. Weatherproof, dust-ignition proof, and explosion-proof models are available.
Aeration pads, also called diffusers, provide a relatively simple and cost-effective means of introducing low-pressure air into a dry bulk material that has become compacted due to settling. The air restores the material’s natural ability to flow and helps prevent future buildup. The pads use a minimum amount of air, typically 6.5 CFM at 3 PSI.
