Industrial Knockers, Single Impact (SI) Vibrators, and Timed Impactors are a type of linear/piston vibrators. Instead of producing continuous vibration, these vibrators deliver a single, controlled piston strike at timed intervals. This intermittent hammer-like action transfers impact energy into the vessel wall to break up buildup, restore flow, or prevent rat-holing and bridging from occurring in difficult-to-move bulk materials. Intermittent operation requires a separately purchased timer or controller to trigger each impact and regulate the interval between cycles.

Common applications include bins, hoppers, chutes, silos, railcars, and process vessels handling sticky, damp, compacted, sluggish, or slow-moving materials in demanding industrial service applications.
