Immersion vibrators, also called spud or poker vibrators, use a vibrating head which, when immersed in the concrete, generates a rotary vibration that acts directly against the concrete to improve flow within the form and around the rebar, and compact the mix by reducing interparticle friction, and driving out entrapped air. The combination of head diameter and frequency (speed) determines the vibrator's area of influence.  The vibrating head is cooled by the immersion in the concrete.  We offer a range of both the widely used flexible shaft type (connects head-to-motor) type internal vibrators, and the motor-in-head type.  Models are available that can be operated with pneumatic, electric or gas driven power sources.

Types of Internal Concrete Vibrators

Vibrator Heads

Get the job done by choosing the correct head diameter that fits the job and applies the right frequency and centrifugal force to the concrete so that it ensures a smooth, strong finished product. Shop AIRMATIC’s selection of vibrator heads, shafts, motors, and gas immersion vibrators by manufacturer and model number.

Vibrator Shafts

For gas and electric models of immersion vibrators, the flexible vibrator shaft fastens to the vibrator head and transmits power from the motor unit. It’s important to choose the right concrete vibrator shaft length for your specific job needs. AIRMATIC’s selection offers many makes and models, each with various shaft lengths to choose from.

Electric & Gas Power Units/Motors for Vibrators

Durability and high-performance are key when considering electric and gas power units for use on a concrete construction site. Our selection of gas or electric motors for concrete consolidation provide both the portable and reliable power needed at every job site using immersion vibrators.
