Aerators and fluidizers improve dry bulk material flow by introducing controlled compressed air at strategic points in bins, silos, hoppers, and dry bulk trailers. The air helps replace naturally lost entrained air, reducing packing and encouraging material to behave more like a flowing mixture. Depending on the design, the active element may be a flexible disc, boot, or diffuser-style surface that releases air at the vessel wall or discharge cone.
