Overview
The Posi-flate Series 486 Inflatable Seated Butterfly Valve features a fully machined 316L stainless steel housing, perfect for powders, granules, slurries, and liquids. Available in sizes from 2" to 20", it's ideal for loading/unloading process materials, sterile air control, and storage containers.
Its unique inflatable seat design provides a superior seal by expanding against the disc, compensating for wear, and extending valve life. The disc, made of 316L stainless steel or Hastelloy, can be polished or coated with PTFE/nylon, minimizing flow resistance and material build-up.
Key features include ultra-low torque requirements, lower actuator costs, and minimal seat wear. The valve handles temperatures from -40° to 350°F and pressures up to 100 PSIG, ensuring suitability for demanding applications. Double shaft seals, multiple bearings, and fail-safe monitoring enhance reliability. Customizable with various materials for the housing, disc/shaft, seat, bearings, shaft seal, and hardware, it guarantees optimal performance.
